Making farming more sustainable, one corn field at a time

Working on the topic of “agriculture”, Marc & Bérénice Lorenzen, and I decided to design a tractor that would make medium sized farms both more efficient and sustainable.

Small on the road, large on the field

Featuring a telescopic chassis, we designed an adaptable agricultural device that changes shape depending on where it is used. Driven on the road, the tractor contracts to be a mere 7.5 meters long, moving in the direction of its longitudinal axis and thus being well maneuverable. On the field, the vehicle extends to a width of 12 meters, reducing the amount of tracks and thus the load on the soil.

Inspired by the aesthetics and statics of bridges, the tractor was awarded the Design Prize Neunkirchen.
