Customizing for a new market

Built on top of the Asus A8 in order to leverage the own-brand 14″ notebook platform, the T18 laptop was developed by Asus Design specifically for the Japanese market. While that meant for one that the product specs had to be adjusted to accomodate slightly different use cases. Aesthetically, HW Wei and I modified the product’s shapes to look more streamlined, toned down the color contrast and defined textures and finishes to appeal to the new target audience.
